Why Z-Doom?
P(doom) means “probability of doom”: someone’s estimate of the chance that advanced AI causes a catastrophe for humanity. The P stands for probability. Definitions, assumptions and time horizons vary; these are judgments under uncertainty, not readings from a scientific doom meter.
CSET: Beyond P(doom) · AI Impacts: expert survey FAQ
Z-Doom turns that phrase into the name of its satirical AI workplace. The comic’s doom meter is a fictional prop. You don’t need a risk estimate to enjoy the joke.
