Overhaul reading order
The selected Overhaul reading order is B1 Isomorphism → B2 The Book of Supo → B3/S1 The Reconstruction → B4/S2 The Absolute → B5/S3 The Approximation. B3–B5 are available now as unchanged closed manuscript PDFs; B1 and B2 are available as complete web reading editions with selected original DOCX downloads. B6/S4 The Denomination is a separate draft.
B is the slot in the 38-book universe order. S is the position in The Expenditure series, so B3/S1 and B4/S2 are correct dual labels. The Archived first-pass route preserves the earlier editions; the older sequence descriptions below remain historical guidance.

Archived first pass — Suporph reading route
Read now — Suporph original-run trilogy. Suporph 1 — The Formation Event → Suporph 2 — Covalence → Suporph 3 — Amalgamation. The Formation Event has the complete v2 web text and unchanged DOCX; Covalence and Amalgamation have opening excerpts and complete unchanged PDFs (367 and 235 pages). These historical canon manuscripts retain their original-run working/first-draft status; they are not completed Overhaul rewrites.
Read now — complete original-run archive. All 15 historical works and their public source downloads. The three existing Suporph releases are reused. Ghost is a separate abandoned S6 production artifact, outside the intended novel sequence. S7 The Recognition and S8 The Council also have complete web readers with their 17-chapter cover counts corrected; originals remain unchanged.
B6/S4 The Denomination — available Draft. The complete web draft corrects fourteen “eight postings” references to the established eleven-posting baseline. Other counts and the original source are preserved. This is not a closed Overhaul release.

The books were not written in chronological order and the gaps between them are part of the design. Either reading path works. Both are intentional.

Chronological Order (In-Universe)
The order events occur within the fictional timeline. This path trades the designed revelation sequence for temporal coherence — you see the civilization unfold in the order it lived.

Note that S6 and S7 overlap temporally but S7 was written first. In chronological order, S6 sits after S8 because its events reach further into the timeline than the Council proceedings.
Where to Start
Both paths begin with The Isomorphism (standalone, ~78,800 words) or S1: The Reconstruction (~95,000 words). The Isomorphism is faster, stranger, and operates as a self-contained proof of concept. S1 is where the series architecture begins. Either works. The Isomorphism is for readers who want to know what the voice sounds like before committing. S1 is for readers who are already in.
