Profile v6.0 had a structural inconsistency: it applied governance labels (Architect, Husband) retroactively to periods before those modes existed. The Husband cannot predate the marriage that defines it—the label is literally the role. The Architect had proto-form before 2007 but did not crystallize until the arrest forced containment. Before these modes existed, there was not a split personality waiting to be named. There was a process of formation.

The Cosmological Developmental Model resolves this by describing how the author formed rather than projecting the current governance split backward onto an undifferentiated past. The metaphor is the author’s own—surfaced during collaborative session from felt-sense before the structural mapping was made explicit.

The Six Stages

Stage 1: The Nebula (Birth – ~Age 18)

A cloud of dust condensing under gravity. Chaos organizing into early structure. Undiagnosed bipolar, gifted identification, volatile emotions, proto-systems-thinking (the school manifesto, calculated self-harm as engineering). Trauma impacts the forming mass—stepfather, extraction, education disruption. No star yet. No governance. Raw material getting denser.

The Nebula is not a personality. It is not a governance mode. It is the raw material that will become everything else, and it has no name because nothing has differentiated yet. Calling this period “the Architect before the Architect” or “the Husband before the Husband” is the error v6.1 corrects.

Stage 2: The Young Star (~Age 18 – 2007)

The star ignites—central identity forms, begins creating gravitational order. Planets (identities) form in orbit around it: the themed nights as separate orbital bodies. The young star is volatile, pulling in asteroids (substances, both prescribed and otherwise) that reshape the forming planets violently. The star discovers it can deliberately impact its own planets to reshape them—substance use as self-modification, identity engineering through chemical alteration.

Observation and destruction run on the same engine. The Spycam is the star observing its own solar system. The 129,657 photos are the light record. Both future governance modes are fused and undifferentiated—intensity AND systematic observation as one thing, running hot, no split. This is the circuit era. Mr. Club Hell. The legend. The dealing. The six overdoses. Everything burning together in one fire.

Stage 3: The Cooling (2007 – 2011)

Post-arrest. The star stabilizes. Asteroids stop—the binary stop. What will become the Architect is being forged from crisis, confinement, sobriety, BTT discipline. What will become the Husband is present but has no marriage to define it—it is the emotional core drawn to Amy, the part that arrives at “we never would have broken up if I was sober” and gets the covenant tattoo during the final breakup.

One planet promotes life—Amy enters stable orbit. But the moon hasn’t formed yet. The gravitational capture is happening. The system is cooling into shape. This is the forge period: not yet contained, not yet committed, becoming both.

Stage 4: The Moon (2011 – February 2025)

Marriage: July 23, 2011. Michael becomes the Moon—tidally locked, orbiting the one body that promoted life. No independent atmosphere: every signal hits the surface directly. Amy is Earth—”my world” is not metaphor but orbital mechanics.

NOW the Husband exists, because there is a marriage to be husband to. The Architect runs dominant—the rigid crust that holds shape in vacuum. Emotions flattened by design. Business thrives. Creativity constrained. The Moon orbits. The Moon maintains. Fourteen years of stability purchased at the cost of emotional bandwidth.

Why “the Moon with no atmosphere” matters: A moon with no atmosphere has no buffer between itself and incoming signals. Micrometeorites that would burn up in Earth’s atmosphere crater the Moon’s surface directly. This is the compound bottleneck (no visual imagery buffer), the misophonia (no auditory filtering), and the Amplified Frisson (100% of the emotional payload arriving as raw impact). Stage 5: The Impact (February 2025)

Amy’s 30-day residential treatment is the asteroid that hits the Earth-Moon system. February 2025 didn’t just crack the existing system—it reformed the gravitational relationship between the two bodies.

The Architect’s crust shattered. The Husband’s core material, suppressed since 2007, erupted through the surface. “Blue cool energy.” No sleep. Free weights at night. Love bombing. Six months of debris settling into new orbits. The framework was written during this period—443 pages produced from the energy released by a containment failure.

Stage 6: The Archus (Mid-2025 – Present)

First integrated governance. Not the Architect running primary with the Husband leaking through. Not the Husband in control with Architect guardrails. A third configuration—Architect + Husband compressed into something new that is neither and both.

The Moon after the impact: same material, new configuration, new orbit, new relationship to Earth. The framework is the Archus’s first product—the shared vocabulary that both modes use to negotiate, built by a mind that finally has both systems online simultaneously.

The Archus is not a destination. It is an ongoing negotiation between two governance modes that operated in isolation for decades and are now, for the first time, required to share a control surface. The Profile System documents that negotiation in real time.

Why the Cosmological Frame Works

The cosmological model does something personality labels cannot: it acknowledges that pre-marriage Michael was not a mode—he was a process. You do not label a nebula with the name of the star it hasn’t become yet. You call it what it is: material in formation.

The governance model (Architect/Husband/Archus) describes how the system runs NOW. The cosmological model describes how it FORMED. Two maps of the same territory at different scales. Both are needed. Neither replaces the other.

The convergence of the author’s felt-sense metaphor with the documented developmental sequence is itself evidence for the model’s validity. The author did not construct a cosmological analogy from theory.
